Cheshire Lacrosse recognises the need to ensure the welfare and safety of all young people in lacrosse. As part of our commitment to ensure the safety of young people, we will not permit photographs, videos or other images to be taken or used without the consent of the parents/carers and the young person. If permission is given, images will be used only for promotion and celebration of Cheshire Lacrosse. This permission is requested on the forms: only sign if you are happy to consent.
Cheshire trials and training are run on an open access basis. Players will be supervised whilst taking part; however, they are not confined to the grounds and coaches cannot be held responsible for their safe arrival and departure. (see registration info in next section)
There are several risks associated with playing lacrosse, indoor and outdoor, which may result in accidents and injuries. Whilst every effort is made to prevent these, participation is entirely at the players' own risk.
MOUTHGUARDS MUST BE WORN UNLESS WRITTEN PARENTAL CONSENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED.
The latest guidelines (GDPR) dictate that Cheshire Lacrosse need to inform you regarding what we do with the information you give to us on the consent forms, how we store it and how long for. For your information, your player profile forms go to Laura Rees and the manager(s) of the team your daughter is trialling for. The forms are stored securely and are shredded at the end of the playing season. No information from your form is passed on to anyone else at any time and all information is confidential.
Please be in touch if you have any queries regarding this.
